Feed me Broken Soup.

I recently read Feed, by M.T. Anderson. It is a richly satirical novel concerning American consumerism and the uncouth truths of being a teenager. It is shocking, real, raw, and numbing. The appealing use of modern-day lingo adds a fresh edge to the book, while the traditional tendencies of some seemingly radical characters provide a sense of verisimilitude, in a way. Feed is definitely a page-turner worth reading.

I also read a book called Broken Soup. The author of this book, Jenny Valentine, portrayed a heart-breaking situation from the viewpoint of a headstrong teenage girl who's being handed a rampant cascade of lemons (metaphorically, of course). Parts of this book left me numb, parts left me bawling, other parts left me completely overwhelmed with joy for the characters, and some parts made me feel all of this at once. Broken Soup is a very emotional read, but I'd suggest indulging yourself in reading about the adversity that is present on every page.
